Trying some google recommended food in Bogor

EAT LOCAL FOOD

When you stay or on vacation in Bogor – Java Island – Indonesia and want to try some delicious local food.. well this is some of my review about it.

Bogor have many choice of culinary destination, chinese food, western, sundanese food, some dessert and snacks.

I have tried many of them.. and try to give you a real appraisal about it. If is it worth it to wait on the line for the food.. or its ok if you skip it and not wasting your time on waiting list. I will devide the food to 3 criteria, main food, light meal, and snack

I. Main Food

1. Sundanese Food

There is a lot of restaurant of sundanese food in Bogor. They have fresh ingredient and good cook. Good restaurant that i have try so far :

– De’Leuit (must try)

– Kluwih (actually the taste is good but for 1 hour on line to be seated.. its not that good, but for the ambiance and the restaurant layout is very unique, it have Kluwih tree inside the restaurant)

2. Chinese Food

Bogor also have Pecinan Town that is place in Jl. Surya Kencana Bogor, here is the list :

1. Fried Rice Guan Tjo ( good to try, and also try the beef sate)

2. Ngo Hiang ( i like the ngo hiang but not really like the sauce, good to try)

Snack

1. Lumpia Kering ( there is many street vendor in Suryakencana sell this food, i try Lumpia that sell by street vendor near Ngo Hiang and i like it, it is crunchy and tasteful)

2. Martabak Encek Legendaris – Suryakencana ( the legend martabak in Bogor), why its legend because the seller have sell this food since 1975 and the person who cooked this food is still the same. Another special for this tenant is He use charcoal to cook the Martabak. But i never try it, once i want to try it but the vendor is closed, the place is near from Ngo Hiang Gang Aut. I will try someday and review about it

3. Martabak Aphin -Padjajaran Street, so this is another food hits in Bogor that use charcoal to cook Martabak. But for the priced it is more expensive than Martabak Encek. ( for me, the taste is good but consider the priced, i’m not satisfied or overpriced)

4. Martabak Ven – Ven – Sholeh Iskandar Street. I love this Martabak because the taste is good and the priced is still on budget. My family is Ven-Ven loyal client ( you should try this)
